El Chorro Dog Park is maintained by SLO-4-PUPs. SLO-4-PUPs depend upon the generous support of Donors and Volunteers who give their time, ideas, expertise and money.  These Contributors keep El Chorro Dog Park a clean and safe place for everyone.

Tasks for Everyone All the Time

  • Refill the water bowls

  • Refresh the splash tubs

  • Pick up stray poop

  • Hunt down stray tennis balls

  • Bring gloves and pull a few weeds

  • Sweep the walkway

  • Offer to help the Daily Upkeep Volunteer complete their duties

It takes several thousand dollars each year to buy supplies and equipment needed to maintain the park.

Donate Your Time

Daily Upkeep Volunteer
Pledge 1 hour a week on a designated day
Duties include: 

  • empty trash and take to gate,

  • refill the Mutt Mitt dispensers,

  • blow/sweep walkways,

  • tidy up

Note: may qualify for school Community Service credits

Quarterly Work Parties
Spreading wood chips, pruning, sanding, painting. staining, raking leaves
